17 yr old needs help!
you guys ever get pulled over for having ur side windows tinted or having a license plate cover on cuz everyone thinks i'll get in trouble for it? Or does it just really depend on where you live?

Depends on where you live. In some states, tinted windows of any kind are illegal. Liscense plates are a whole other story. Texas is horrible about front plates, covers, I'm not sure about.

I have 35% tint on the sides and 5% outback. I live in one of the safest cities in the country. Cops pull people over for EVERYTHING. I have yet to be pulled over for my tint and no front plate, and my semi-loud exhaust.

ha... most of it depends on where you live and much a dick of a cop you get. for the front plate just say you've been pulled over before and it's in mail. tinted windows are illegal as everyone knows though. although it doesn't stop me from keeping my 5% on the sides

leave the front cover on just buy some suction cups at a hobby store and throw that front plate in the front window, the texas dps said it was ok but you may need to check where you live...

here in IL, cops will pull u over for anything, especially neighborhood cops. I got pulled over twice for my side window tints, first time was from a local and the second was by an IL state tropper, that a$$ gave me a warning for my tinted license plate cover, (to me they are very visable), and a window tint ticket, the next day i took the side tints off myself. Im 18 so I know how u feel man, just dont speed and think smart

I got pulled over in KS for going 90 on I-70 back when I was 20 and had 5% all around (this was on a '98 T/A). Anyways, since they had pulled me over for speeding they went ahead and read the tint and tacked an extra $15 fine on there for that. I was never pulled over or warned or anything just for the tint and I had that car about 2 years. I have 20% on my current car and I've never been pulled over (it's been 2 years now also) while living in California, South Carolina, and now Virginia.

I used to have my sides tinted. In NJ your not supposed to have tinted sides. The local cops have never bothered me. I got pulled over by a State trooper for speeding, and he didn't say anything about the tint. Then two weeks later, another trooper pulled me over and gave me a ticket for tint. It usually depends on how much of a dick they want to be.

I got pulled over for both. The license plate cover sometimes is a plausible reason to get pulled over though. THe cover fades from the lights that light up the plate on some cars, my old probe for example, so the fading of the cover made it almost impossible to read. Tint same thing, I don't want to pull someone over and not be able to see if they have a gun pointed at me. Usually if you stay 35% and above you shouldn't hear anything.

well im 19 and we tint windows at my work. so i've always had everything on my cars/trucks tinted..windshield and all...not saying im "old" or anything but it seems the cops like to get "young punk kids" i used to get tint tickets every month..i'de just strip it and re-do it (free at work so i didn't care...pull me over all you want lol) i don't know if the cops just got sick of pulling me over or what, because *knock on wood* i havent had a tint ticket in about a year in my SS.
and my little ranger DD is all tinted out windshield and all too....never had any problems..but it's just a slow little grey nothing special truck...my car stands out a bit more i think
definatly depends on where you live though. there this 1 cop in the town my work is in...known as the Tint **** "officer reynolds" the *******'s given me like 5 tickets, he used to sit a road down from my work and pull people over as they left until my boss called the city and they reamed his *** out because we were losing business

What does being 17 have to do with any of this?
I've got pretty dark tint and blacked out taillights and had the same on my Camaro and was never pulled over or warned. I guess it's not a big deal around here.
