Light behind front bird on TA?
Light behind front bird on TA? I have been wanting to do this, seen a few cars with it on here, but I dont want to just cut out my bird on the plate cover. Is there someone who makes a clear plate cover which I could just paint AROUND the bird so it's still has material there but light can shine through?

Yes someone does make a clear front bird plate cover. Thats how most folks accomplish what you're planning to do. I just dont recall the place that makes them. Someone will chime in im sure.

Oh I am curious why you put a decal over it? I assume you used white? But why put one on there anyway? I would think it would be brighter to just leave it clear?

light shines through my white one so you can make out the bird clearly and do not see the lights behind it.
On NHRA-trans-am his is a black decal thats cut smaller it looks really good lit because its just the out line shinning through.
My cardomain site has really good pics of it lit, you will see the reason for the decal.

I used LEDs on mine. I'm not sure what these other guys used, but I am switching over to a couple cold cathode tubes whenever I get around to. I'm not too happy with the LEDs. Too many bright spots, and dim spots. I think the CC tubes would will provide a better bath of light.
