Default Poll: Going to berger... which emblems look better??

I've decided to berger... I think the satin black looks best on pewter. And I think I'm going with the chrome inserts, but was wondering if you all think the I should keep the original "SS" emblem, or get it in chrome as well. (Couldn't find a pic of this so I did a photochop of 01pewter2001z28's, lol, you can still see his other badges in the reflection).

Vote which you like better...

Leave it alone (don't berger)...

Berger with original SS emblem...

NEW Photoshop! Berger with Chrome SS emblem...

Thanks

Berger with Silver looks good.
I'm sure it'll look way better once it's done than in the photochop.

I voted for the satin balck with original emblem, but personally I would get the stainless inserts and leave the emblem off. Just think it looks cleaner. Either way, sweet car!

Hmm, I've never notice before, but that berger looks perfect with the black stripe.

I see what you're saying as far as being cleaner, but there is something about keeping the special edition items original... which is why im leaning toward the original "SS".

This is not a very popular thread. I'm thinking people are tired of seeing berger panel threads...

i kinda' like 3rd more cause with the black and silver of the original SS emblem, its like too much contrast all in one place with the inserts in there.

Ahh screw 'em. I actually just put my berger panel on this evening. Got mine painted gloss black...think gloss looks better on white and it matches my hardtop, but I love the satin with pewter and your black stripes.

I understand that you want to keep the emblems, that's why I like the originals...sleek but with the outline they kinda pop out.

Who can give me some information on removing the emblems and re-applying them? A short how-to would from someone who has done this would be great...

My bad...I knew that. Brain fart! Anyways, to ace the emblems use a heat gun or hair dryer to soften up the adhesive a bit. Use sweeping motions and avoid getting too close or getting the paint too hot. Ya just want to soften it up. Then take floss or fishing line and "saw" the emblem off. Rub any large chunks of adhesive off with your thumb, then go back with a bug and tar remover to get all the residue off. Make sure to hit the spot with some soapy water and a bit of wax and you'll be left with a mirror shine. You'll never even know it was there.

As far as putting them back on, maybe some one else can chime in. My car is naked!
