Windshield removal problems...
1. turn the car on and the wipers on, cut off the ignition while they are up.
2. turn car off, rotate them manually down to the bottom of the wiper stroke (but not farther than that, to the off position)
3. take off the bolt, then pull up on the arm and wiggle it sideways slightly while doing that
That's how I took mine off, and it was easy. This was on an lt1 though, so i'm not sure if the ls1s are different. The position of the arm when you are trying to pull it off is important, it wouldn't come off for me in any other position. If they tried to take if off in the full down position, that's probably why it didn't work.
If that doesn't work there is a special tool you can get to pull them off.
No ****. Taking a wiper arm off is not rocket science. Remove the nut and tap the stud with a hammer while pulling up on the arm. Trending Topics

I had my Dakota winshield replaced last summer in my driveway. I was very impressed with this guy's skill and speed. He had the job completed in less than an hour (no problem with wiper arms
). Damned if I can remember the name of the company. I'll look around for the reciept.
