So the side stripe is a registered trademark? Or has a patent on it? That would be interesting to see proof of. Amazingly, people can copy the hood stripes from the same car and there are no legal issues there, but the side stripe is protected? WTF?
Even if there was a legal infringment of some type, the stripe would have to be EXACTLY the same as a DH car for it to be protected. Which means the fact that it isnt painted on, doesnt say "Dick Harrell", and that you could simply make it 1/4" longer or wider all lead to the same conclusion = problem solved.
Why would it be any different than say... copying the factory emblems for overlays, or creating stainless steel versions, or copying the "Berger Panel" or CETA mod. I guess in my opinion that is a bad excuse for someone not making a look-alike product.
I think it would look Badass! Sorry about the rant.

Anyways, whether it has to be altered or not I can't find anyone willing to do it . I think it would look KILLER! I wanted to have it done in Satin Black and then post my "kills" on the big part of the "spear"...
Have custom vinyl emblems that look like other factory emblems (running horse, cobra, etc...) with red X's through them !
