not to be a hater.

but those side markers were there for a reason. what you did is illegal.

as much as i like it, i would hate being hounded by the troopers...

So, I like it. I'd only do the keyholes in the doors and trunk. Also the antenna. It looks more flush, kinda like the C6.

mississippi cops wont dare bother me about anything, and its still completely street legal on the side markers deal, as long as you have brake lights etc then your ok... and on the door key holes they were grinded to hell and back...the one the the rear was removed and i stuffed mat and resin all in there so i honestly doubt itll come out...the front grill i liked the camaro in there, so i left it, same with the rear panel. good thing about it all is that if the fiberglass which some of you doubt will hold if i does come out i will just redo it? ive done it all myself with help of a very good friend...ive made subboxes and done fiberglass alot in the past and nothing ive done has fallen apart, fiberglass done right is some strong **** and will stick to anything if prepped right...but thanks everyone for hte comments, i picked up all my paint today and im going with metallic gunmetal...im takin the car apart tomorrow and will post in progress pics with that as well...

The sheet metal of the shock towers does not flex like the bumper covers . . .

Ther is specific fillers to be used on the urethane covers.

I give you major props on doing some great ideas, my concern that I wanted to express is the choise of materials to do the work with . . .

I for one feel that a job is only worth doing correctly with the right stuff.

The use of Bondo and Fiberglass on the urethane bumper covers will fail, the edges will crack quickly. Fiberglass and Bondo are not flexible, like the F-car bumpers are.

The key cyliders being left in the door buried under Bondo will crack, mostly due to thermal expansion differencs on the material, and that the cylider is only "clipped" into the door so it can actually move ever so slightly.

Again, I not flaming you, just wanting to give fair warning about the aterials before you paint . . .that is all.

At least you kept your door handles so you could still go to the track! Nice work.

I did everything your doing right now, plus the door handles, and everything that said pontiac on my firebird 5 years ago. No problems from it to date as far as cracking or showing through the paint. Straight fiberglass or bondo will more than likely show through over time. I used dynaglass filler & this other stuff. . Unfortunately I can't remember what it was called, I was told also they don't make it anymore either. Maybe some body guys can chime in here. It came in aluminumized bags in bricks an inch thick 6x6 inches. It had the consistency of putty and cured in the light. ONce cured it is stout! it was made by 3m, but I'm sure some company still makes something like it. Once again, I'm hoping some body guys can chime in here. My car is a transam, so I had some different stuff than you, but the spoiler was a perfect place for all of my antennas, xm, navigation, radio, and tvtuner. I'm not sure how much room is in the camaro spoiler, but hopefully that area will work for you. I do agree with xtaz though, bondo and glass alone won't suffice for you.
