Default SS lower airbox for Z28?

Is a lower airbox for an SS all I will need when I drop an SS hood on my Z28 to make it functional?

the ss has the same airbox as the z28. the ss ram air sucks ***. it barely functions over at all even at 100mph+

I thought the SS lower airbox had a bigger opening like the WS6 lower airbox, I could be wrong though.

nope theyre all the same. the WS6 is the only raised airbox but the WS6 style hood has to be used for the WS6 airbox or else it wont clear

Yep...there is just no room for a raised airbox to clear on a camaro. The hood scoop is up by the windshield....the front of the hood is obviously the same between a Z28 and a SS hood. My airbox is slightly raised...with washers....and it does leave an impression on my lid due to that.

The SS hood really is just for looks...plus...it helps to keep your engine dusty!
