car cover

Seen this question before. I have the SLP firehawk cover. It's good, mine is wearing fast, little tear on the back corner. It came with the car, so since I have a carport that protects the hawk, I would not spend the money for another one that cost what the SLP one cost. If I didn't have the carport, well different story, I would spend the money.

California Car Cover all the way. Several fabric choices depending on what you want. I have the plush weave that's cotton with flannel backing so it's super soft on the paint. Since the car is kept inside it works great. I wouldn't waste money on an SLP one. Everyone I've heard that's used it said it was crap and some even said it scratched the paint.

Be careful with the SLP covers. I have read that they scratch cars. When I kept my car outdoors I bought a Noah car cover for 159. Did a great job of protecting my car. Now that I use my garage I only cover it during the winter and for that I bought a cheap lightweight ebay cover for 18 bucks. Soft and does not scratch my car yet is very light and provides good dust protection. I have read good things about the Cal Covers as well.

it doesnt matter what cover you buy and how much you spend,if you get a windy day, then your car will get scratches in it.This is why i dont cover my car,i really like my paint nice and shiny and rain isnt going to hurt a thing, even snow wont, but a car cover WILL leave scratches.
