Default Question about the stickers under the hood...

I was wondering if the 2 stickers under the hood that are on the Drivers side wheel well, if they are really important and I shouldn't remove them? They are starting to peel as is and I just wanted to totally take them off. Are they important, do they HAVE to be there?

I was going to just take a picture of them before I took them off.

Thanks!

I took mine off and stuck them to some posterboard and put them in my glovebox. But they were pretty new. Not sure if you'll be able to get yours off in one piece. If you take a picture, you should be fine.

The car will still start with them removed

I heated mine up gently with a heat gun, removed them, and stuck them to a sheet of paper...

I took pictures just in case I needed the info at a later date. Mine had been on a while and came off in pieces.

My big sticker about the emmissions was weird. It cam off in one peiec, but it left a striped pattern on the car. It was the sticky part and the sticker was striped clear because that part of the ink was on the car. Its hard to explain, I'm sure i'm not the only one that that happened to. BTW, the sticky ink left comes off with Goo Gone really easy!

That's completely normal...the sticker is intended to be tamper-proof. That's why you have to heat it up...the heat "bonds" the two layers together so that you can remove them together...
