50% is as dark as u can go where i live for the front side windows...but i plan to go completely black (like 5%) on the back and that should make it appear like the sides are darker than they really are

How far are you from Troy? Sun-Shade Tinting near 15mile and Crooks offers an 'assurance' policy for $25 extra they will remove the tint for your court date and reapply it after. I bought it when I had my windows done at 35% all around. I needed it once, went to court, and the cop never showed. So I guess I really didn't need it that time. Then when they reapplied my tint, I paid another $25 to extend the policy. Check them out. Great work and guaranteed. They have done my car and my wife's car. And my buddy just took his vette there. I went to them because they could do my back window in one piece.

You think so? I guess I just made it all up...

That's ridiculus that 35% tint is illegal, you can easily see through that. At night, all the officer has to do is shine his spotlight through your rear window and everything is lit up like a Christmas tree. I've been pulled over way too many times to know that.

damn man that sux I got 5% all the way around and never had any problems with the cops. It is kinda a pain in the *** at night to drive with can't see anything except very dim headlights in the mirrors but you get used to it and your eyes start to adjust.. Actually got pulled over by highway patrol the other day on I-20 leaving Dallas and he didn't say anything except " so how fast is it " then he gave me a ticket for speeding hahaha

I'm a ways from Troy. I'm down by IN. Sounds like a plan to me though. But after a while, wouldn't the court just start to fine me instead of giving me 100 fix-it tickets?

Depends on how many times you get stopped. I bought my car new back in 99' and have only been pulled over once and it was by a state trooper. Local cops don't seem to care. I have been stopped for speeding and I just make sure my windows are down so they don't add on another ticket. Like I said depends upon how strict the local PD is.

I only got nailed on a hazy overcast day. And I think I had my T-Top shades in too. With them out it lightens the interior. Or if you see a cop ahead just lower the window. Shouldn't be a problem. But it all depends on the mood of the trooper I guess. Good luck!

Yep, same thing happened to me! Cloudy day, with the shades on.
