Default Think this would work? Busted for tinted windows

Yep, about three months after I got my windows tinted I got busted. The part I hate is that he pulled me over going the speedlimit while other cars were flying past me. But whatever.

I don't want to remove my tint (35% on the sides). I was thinking about printing off a picture I have of my car before the tint and after the tint. I would take the two pictures into the police station (not in the Ws6 of course) and say I couldn't bring the car in, but here are some pictures of the tint removed.

Think it would work?

not sure about your city, but in Houston they have really stopped waiving those fix-it tickets, like no front plate stuff. You get caught, you pay now.

Does the ticket say what the steps are to 'prove' you corrected the problem? i.e., photos, bring the car in, etc? If it doesnt say then I would give it a shot. Just be ready to run home and strip the tint off fast if the cop says "thats great you took photos, now I will follow you home to confirm/verify that is true". Or just call the police station and ask them if photos are acceptable to save yourself the BS of finding out the hard way.

In NJ your not alowed to have any tint at all on the front. I have 35% up front and 20% on the hatch. But I havnt gotten any **** for it yet. I have my windows down all the time in the summer so thats no problem, but in the winter im gonna be worried.

Same thing happens out here in Cali. It is illegal to have the front windows tinted at all. You can have the back tinted but not the front. Another option is to see if you can pay the ticket. Out here you have to have a police officer sign off on the ticket voching that the tint was removed. Let us know what happens.

here we have the option to fix it, then go to court and pay the 20 dollar fine. or you can pay the whole fine, which i forget how much it is now.....

so if u wanna pay the whole fine just send the check in, if u wanna save urself some cash then go buy some spare windows and throw them on there. i doubt pictures will suffice

no way, ur gonna need to actually show to car to the officer that stopped you. Ive been there before man, no getting around it. the cop frigen walks outside with you and inspects the whole thing being a dick.a little far fetched idea but it would be kinda cool if someone had a custom design where they had a thin piece of glass with a seperate switch where when u get pulled over you can slide the thing tinted glass down and have the clear glass ready for the cop so when he pulls u over he feels dumb as ****
