custom head plate
I made it using tracing paper, 1/8 aluminum plate, files, drill and alot of patients. I'm going to get a white phoenix decal for it but I'm not sure I like the black. Any suggestions on color?
thanks for looking

Once you get the decal on it that will bring out that color along with any color. I would think that some people will be asking you to make these!! Thunder racing ran out of them I think, and there were some threads about someone doing these but never heard anymore. Looks good!! Nice work.

Those bolts look like crap. Get some stainless allen button head bolts and it'll make it a LOT better looking. The MBA plates use these and they make for a cleaner looking install. I have a black 35th SS logo on mine.

Yea, I have some being cut already. But then they have to go to the powder-coater.
Not sure yet how the decals will hold up to the heat of the cylinder head.
I'm in process of going thru the set-up to test one with no clear-coat & one with a clear-coat. They'll have to be run at temperature for a while to see the results.
It's a long drawn out process, ...
I've never had anyone step up to do the engraving that has the licensing capabilities with all the GM emblems. So I'm trying it with decals first.
The black that you've got the doesn't look that bad because of the other black components there. I'd recommend red or silver decals tho, just to keep in the color scheme that's there.
