Yeah! It's cool to resurrect the classic names on newer F-bodies.

No way, it's a classic name and belongs on authentic, classic cars.

Your thoughts on vintage performance badging
Hey guys, just wondering what your opinions are on badging your f-body to resemble a vintage performance car. I'm talking about putting Nickey/COPO/Berger/etc. badges on cars that aren't actually a Dick Harrell car, or a car from Nickey, etc.
I personally think it's cool. In fact, I plan to put a Nickey emblem on my car and convert to the classic '69 style Z28 badging (anyone have a place I can get those badges?).
What do ya'll think?

It would be okay to do a retro style Z28 emblem on your car. I love the 1968-69 Z/28 emblem as well as the 1970-73 ones. However, don't put a nickey or yenko emblem on it. There were no 4 generation yenko camaros, and there was only one 4th gen nickey camaro that I know of. (twin turbo 35th anniversary car). You could also do a berger panel for the back of the car, but leave the berger emblem off.

personally, i cant stand when people do that ****. i dont even like it when people do retro emblems. i think its so tacky. i dont understand why you would put yenko or nickey on your car if it isnt. people will allways be asking you " oh man is that real?" what the hell do you say to that? either yes, which makes you a total douchbag and disrespectful to all f-body owners, or you say no its a clone of a car that never even existed as a fourth gen. heres where you say " people dont even know the difference between "this" and "that" unless they are told" but, does that make it right?
how about instead of doing old yenko or whatever emblems, you come up with something really cool and unique, get a custom made emblem, and when people ask you what it is, you tell em exactly what it is.
one last thing, if anyone is actually planning on doing these emblems or something similar, i hope your cars are modded so much that they actually can back those emblems up, cause if they are going on stock cars, your gonna get some serious **** from people that know whats what.

Have all you naysayers SEEN the new Camaros? The new Mustangs? Chargers? Get a hint, retro is in. Notice the badging on the Buick's and Fords are retro? Notice that the stripe packages offered on the Dodge Rumble Bee Edition trucks, Charger RT's, Mach 1s, etc are retro? What about the side body louvers on the new Mustangs and the sun shade on the new 'Stang hatch. You all are right. Retro is totally out and all the new cars are ghey. Dude, you should just keep the plain and boing stock Z28 look and not customize it at all. Don't you know if you do ANYTHING appearance wise to an f-body it is rice unless it is an SS hood and spoiler and MAYBE a set of wheels. In case you couldn't tell, I was joking. Go for it and tell every soul you see it is the real deal and cost an extra $20,000. If they have to ask, they deserve to be told that.

Im ok with the retro z/28 badges and such, some people make it work with thier cars. But badging a 4th gen camaro as a yenko, or copo camaro is the same as putting a type R badge on a civic.
