Default Help! Tailights..

Does anyone know if I buy 93-97 talights If I take them apart I can tke out the red lenses? Has anyone done this?... Let me know Thanx.. I know it can me done on transam taillights..

NO it cannot be done. The red is molded in. It's not behind a smoked cover like on the TA lights.

I've seen 1993-1997 Firebird taillights with the red lenses removed. Its the 1998-2002 Firebird taillights where the red lens is integrated. Maybe someone who's actually done it can chime in.

I have LT1 tails on my 98 SS and the red is integrated

Buy some ricer lights. Those have clear lenses on em. Maybe you can combine the stock backs with the ricer clear fronts?

I was hoping for the same answer as you, since I bought a pair of early 4th gen tails.

Even still, they're way better than the LS1s with random lines and amber.

Ok Heres What I wanna do.. I Think Im going to buy those altezza lights.... Not just to plug them in and go oooo wow this looks great.. GROSS actually anyone who has those shouls be shot.. But What Im going to do is buy te altezza rice tailights take them apart fiberblass the inside and put about 100-200 leds in the tailights... They will be clear butt black housing with linear leds... hmm Ive never seen it and I wonder what it looks like.... they will be kind of like black halos... let me know what you think... I dont even know what to think

This sounds like an interesting idea. My problem with LEDs is that they don't show up very well in daylight, as opposed to the traditional bulbs. Anyone wanna stand up for LEDs?
