Anyone know the best method for this? Some ******* threw a baseball at my passenger side quarter panel hard, and now it's got a big *** dent that I'd like to remove. Any suggestions on accessing it from the back?

 

yeah, sue the guy and make him pay for it, you can try dentless removal but unless you get it professionally done it will look like crapola.

 

Rear quarter or front. if rear, it wasn't a baseball....it just happens on these cars! lol


Really though, have a dent removing company do it. It isn't that expensive.

 

It's the rear. The front is the fender. Anyway, yes it was a baseball, I know what torque-creases are, and this is definitely a lot bigger.

is there a crease in the metal or is it just "popped in"
if there are no creases then you can prolly use the "ding king" from discount auto parts or try to acess it from in the car depending where on the rear quarter panel it is......

but if it were a "torque" crease or more commonly mistaken for door dings the best way is to prevent them all together with subframe connectors

 

Yeah, it's a dent. I have creases too, but this is totally different. It's in the middle of the quarter panel right above the wheel-well.

 

I found a guy around here who is the ****. I had 3 torque creases in my quarters, and this guy got them out. I also had 2 small little dents he took care of.

He worked for Dent Wizard, but $$$ money got the deal done for a 100 bucks.

The only way to access the quarter panel, is through the speaker hole behind the drivers/passenger seat.

Remove the rear most speaker/trunk panels completely
Unclip the coat hangers
Take out the screw at the bottom @ the door sill (phillips)
3 bolts at the speaker (6 or 7 mm)
Might be one or two more screws towards the back (6 or 7 mm)

The rest of the panel just unclips at the top. The center of it is held with Velcro.

Depending upon how big, and where the dent is. That should be the best way to get it out. He'll probably have to pull it out as best he can with suction first. Then go at it through the speaker hole.

Mine came out PERFECT! That's saying a lot, as I'm picky as hell....

No problem. It just clicked in my head that the hardware is 6 or 7mm bolts. I wanna say 6s.

Either way I had both panels out and the better part of the interior out in less than 10 minutes.
