Default Well, here you go!

Hey Guys,
I am not much on these treads that post up pics of their car and ask for comments, thats just fishing for comments in my opinion. But I just detailed my car pretty nice this afternoon. (Dawn wash, to remove old wax, then a good wash followed by clay bar and cleaner wax, then another wash to get all the crap off, and finished it off with NXT on the body and the cleaner wax on the bumpers.)

I haven't ever really put up pictures of my car before, so I figured I would just to show it off. To be honest I am pretty excited that the car is this clean... My only problem still is with the front bumper. I just can't seem to get all the bugs off, they seem to be part of the paint now.
But anyway, here you go.

Before...

After...

My picture taking skills are less than amazing. I would have had my roommate take some shots, but he is at Clemson for the weekend. Oh well.

No man, I attend UNC Charlotte. I took those pictures at the parking deck where I spent the day polishing because it was out of the Sun.

Any one have any ideas on how to get those bugs off? I have tried several different bug and tar removers and had no luck really with getting them off.

Here is a close up of the bumper and you can see what I am talking about.

Any suggestions?

it realy depends on how long they have beeen there....if you let them sit there long enuf...you will never get them out! a lot of people dont know this. they think ill just wash it later...but bugs on the bumper, after a long time can realy ruin paint perminently! ill bet if you look closely on your car you will notice that its not on top of the paint...they are actualy little tiny craters!
~im not realy sure what causes this....my logical guess is that acid from the bugs body eats away at your clear
just my 2
if its not that...then keep scrubbin lol

I think a good polish would take most of them off, wash and wax won't work.

Yep, bugs' blood is acidic and will eat away car paint, given enough time. This is why it's good to wash your car weekly.

Well, I also forgot to mention that I had an problem with my tranny place putting a nasty scratch in the rear bumper. Some of you may have seen the pictures on a previous post. I have yet to call AAMCO corperate about it, but hopefully, if I ever get around to it, I may get my bumpers repainted out of it. We will see though.
