!side molding

Im looking at taking my side molding off my 96 Trans am. Can anyone give me some pics of a t/a LT1 with this mod. Thanks alot

At this point... I wouldn't recommend doing that. You're gonna have fresh paint under the molding so there's a chance of a huge color difference...

NVM .. just noticed yours is white...

dont forget some fishing line and blow dryer can help out a lot!

I wouldnt get the Trans Am side skirts unless you're planning on getting the TA front clip and the TA rear bumper along with it. Wouldn't flow as well with the Firebird body kit.

im really contemplating doin it today. Okay so I pull the molding off and there should be some resedue or do i use the fishing line/floss go ever the molding off? also, what would I use the blowdryer for?

you want to use a blowdryer to heat it up to come off easier....Dont use your thumbs though after you have the molding pulled off to remove the rest of the 3m tape because it will give you blisters.....

For those above i do have the TA bumper on my car already and i have the Wings West Ground effects kit in the paint shop...will be installing it soon!

very very nice.. Im going to do it.. so this is kinda how it goes
1. pull the molding off
2. blowdry the 3m tape
3. using floss to get it off
4. Goo Gone

yeah do it that way...trust me dont use your thumbs....i learned the hard way on both thumbs...if you heat it up before you pull the molding off it may come off on the backside of the molding...i didnt heat mine up because i was stupid..lol
