Default Unusual LED placement?

I've never seen this done before, but I like the way it turned out.
I hate not being able to see if my doors are locked at night, while driving.
So I placed a LED in the door bezel, just behind the lock.

I was gonna do it with red, but it's such a different thing, I wanted it to stand out a little. Besides, when the door is unlocked, there is that little orange flourescent stripe on the lock lever, and the blue really makes it glow like it was under a black light.

That's pretty neat I know what you mean about not being able to see if doors are locked or not. I'm gonna have to do this mod.

Exactly. Then wire it into the other light that's in the bezel.

Pretty sweet. I've been wanting to replace the stock bulbs over my power switches with something a little brighter. What bulbs did you use? (part #, etc.)

Looks good man. I don't see the point, though, if you can just flick the door-lock switch to know if it's locked or unlocked?
