I did at 20,000 miles. I went to one dealership that I had a friend at. He printed out the bulletin for me. I posted the bulletin here a few years ago, but anyway, I went to the dealership I bought the car from, they fought a little about it, but gave in and did it. Of course they put it back on crooked, but I got my free re[placement.

Got it done Last year. I am the 1st and only owner. Car was 11 months out of warranty with 35,000miles. I tried the dealership first and it was a no go.
I called Pontiac customer service who took all my information and started a file on me. After getting a Rep to come out and look at my car, the work was authorized by Pontiac as a Full Repair. Took about 3 months from start to finish to get it taken care of (mostly due to Hurricane Katrina interference)
I had it taken care of at Durham Autoplex in Hammond, Louisiana. The same dealership I bought the car from.

If you post on this thread you need to tell what dealer did it and where and when and miles. If you do these things it will help everyone out . If you don't have roof issues don't post, because all your doing is defeating the purpose of this thread. For those that have posted make sure you give the info in full.
Thanks

I made this thread for people that has got gm to pay for it. Ther is another post that is about 17 pages long. This is to make it easier to find out where and who to fix it. I don't mean to sound like a dick I just want it to be easy for people to get this info. Hey, thanks CashMoney for speaking up.

dude...what r u a thread ****? id like the info as well but geez...be thankfull for the bump atleast
batmn~ its refering to the roof panel recall...im not sure about spacifics...but on some of the f-bodies (t-top versions) the adheisive thats used to help hold the roof panels in place has eaten or corroded through the panel leaving bubbles or bumps on the paints surface. its a defect caused by GM. This happens over time...some have the prob some dont. Some people get this fixed for free as it is a defect by the maker. BUT some people get stiffed also. this thread is a list of people who get there roofs fixed by GM for free (or small charge) and where they got them fixed at, in an effort to help all get there bubbling roof fixed. unfortunately this list will be very small.
so as i said before...heres a bump for ya...your gonna need it

I had mine replaced at about 35K miles. I'm the original owner and took the car back to where I bought it. The replacement was totally free -- as soon as the local GM rep looked at the car he agreed to replace it. I took the FSB in with me to my dealer. I'm in Canada -- just outside of Ottawa and took the car to Bennetts Chev Olds in Carleton Place, Ontario

I have a small bubble oozing glue. I figured I'd persue it now before it gets worse or before GM stops OKing the repairs. I did get the OK from GM to get my sail replaced but my car is in storage now and I will not be taking it in until the spring. The dealership doing the repair is Washington Chevrolet in Washington PA. I am a bit nervous having them do it but I know I have to get it done or it will look like total hell in a few years. I just hope they do a good job. I know I'll have to go over the proper proceedure with them but what ever it takes, since I know they have never done this replacement before... I am the original owner, 02 SS with 19k miles, garage kept always...

Here we go again, it has nothing to do with miles, its six years from the original purchase date under the corrosion protection.
I replaced both my 01 SS and my 30th TA done, the TA was a week from being past the time frame. I did several of the replacements during the time I worked for a Chevy dealer with no problems. Just before I left I was told by the service manager that GM was no longer taking care of the replacements,
that was seven months ago.
