C6 **** on Camaro *HELP*
I tryed to mount the C6 shift **** on my WS6store.com short stick and I'm able to screw it down. It is plastic & non threaded so I basically made my own treads when I screwed it down. The problem is it won't screw down far enough, it makes it to tall! Should I drill inside the **** to make the hole deeper? Will this damage it?
Also, I cut the little plastic piece off the bottom of the **** because it has no purpose on a screw on type stick.
P.S.
There's a guy on Ebay selling the C6 **** that's "modified to fit a camaro or trans am," but he won't tell me how to do it.

Your sig reads you have a Pro 5.
Check this ebay listing
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/C6-Co...spagenameZWDVW
Please note** the shifter pictured is a Pro 5.0 with an inch cut off the top. We can not guarantee that it will be the right height if you do not cut at least an inch of threads off first.

Why would I buy another C6 **** when I already got one? They are freakin expensive. You need to re-read my first post.
Secondly, my sig says, "Pro 5.0 w/ WS6 Store Stick".
--------------------------------
SHOULD I DRILL OUT THE **** SO IT WILL SIT
LOWER OR WILL THAT MESS IT UP???
HOW DO THEY MODIFY THE C6 ***** TO FIT THE F-BODYS?
Thanks,
Nick

Yes I see but how can I make my OEM work? If I would have seen this auction before I bought the OEM one I would have bought it but it's to late now as I can't return mine cause I cut the plastic piece off the end. I'm not going to buy another one, that would be a waste. I NEED TO MAKE THIS ONE WORK.

OK all I need to know is...
Will it mess up the strength or outside apperance of the knobif I drill the hole further up the ****? Is the the **** made out of solid plastic, with just a leather covering?
Thanks!!

I'm not rich buddy, it took awhile to save up for this ****, I'm still in high school. So this makes no sense cause I'm not going to get anything for it since I cut the bottom off. Plus more shipping charges.
I'M GOING TO KEEP THIS ****, THAT IS NOT THE QUESTION.

I wasn't saying you should buy another **** !
I was pointng out the way the ebay seller was getting the **** to fit at the correct height.
CUT YOUR STICK AND RETHREAD IT !......to get the desired height.
It doesn't get any easier than that !......and then your **** is not damaged at all.

Can you guess how much room is there between the top of the **** and the depth of the threaded hole?
I bet there is at least .5" or better, and since the thing is plastic..Drill baby drill. get your self some rethread taps and then just tap the plastic.
