Default CarPort

I have searched and found nothing.. I have seen it on here before about someone saying something about a CarPort that you are able to zip up each end and it cost somewhere around 150.00.. Does anyone know where I would be able to get one of these at? My car is getting repainted and it dont have access to a garage so at nights I wanted to be able to pull my car into something to protect it from the weather and cats..

Are you looking for something you can tear down and have semi Mobil? I have seen where you can get things to go around the metal carport things that zip up to seal off.

Sorry. If that didn't help. Just trying to see what you looking for in more detail.

There are 2 things that you can do. One is a Carport. I got mine at Costco for about $170. Has the sides and a zip-up entrance.

Let me caution you about a couple of things. If you live in a windy area (we get 60+ mph gusts), then you have a big problem with them. I had one get uprooted (with 3 ft stakes holding it in the ground) and thrown over the power lines (without touching them) and onto my roof. I got LUCKY that my cars weren't back there or in it. A budy of mine had his '91 trashed when his got uprooted.

The other problem with them is that they are not sealed. They work great for rain and snow, but your car will get extremely dusty in there.

Now granted dust won't hurt the car while other elements such as rain, sun, snow, etc will. But it isn't cool when you want to keep your car clean and nice (part of the reason to keep it in the garage).

The other option is what is called a Carpocket. I have 2 for some cars that I have stored. They work great.

They're more for storing a car than a dail use though. You lay the carpocket out and drive onto the bottom portion. Then you put a car cover on the car (the car pocket itself will scratch it) and fold the car pocket over and zip it up. The car is completely sealed.

Hope this helps.

Man that is nice. I like the one for the bike. My parents might be able to use that.

But you say the material will actually scratch, so it is best to use a cover, too?
