Those look like door dings to me,not really from TQ. I have one on my driver side and its on the top of the quarter where you can see the edge of your spoiler but obviously on the quarter panel.

SFC will do nothing for the rear of the car, only a roll cage will reinforce the rear structure of the car. The problem is a weak spot in the rear unitized frame rail just behind the rear seat back. If you put the car on jack stands and look you can see a weak spot/junction approx. where the rear spring seats into the body. Like mentioned before the quarter panels are a structural part of the rear of our cars and they do take some abuse as you know. I think rough roads, pot holes, bad driving habbits ect. are far more to blame than torque. I have seen countless stock unmodified garage queens that had them...a few of them were mine. I have also repaired several F bodys that were in rear end collisions, this junction or crush zone is the first place they buckle...as they were designed to for safety purposes.

Yes, that weak spot was designed into the car intentionally...get used to the dimples.

On your car, I honestly can't say. They *look* like door dings and thats what I'd put my money on. Unless your making tons of power with sticky tires and no SFC's then maybe they are from the track?

They might very well be from torque on his car. Think about it, only takes one hard tq hit in just the right way to make dings. And people get on their cars thousands of times.

True, either way its nothing you can do to completly prevent it. Even with a cage. A well designed cage should still be designed to keep crumple zones.

The pic 98boxer posted is from something hitting his car making the dings. The dings from torque or bad driving are on the top edge of the quarter panel. They almost look wavy, not like an actual ding.

Those are not TQ marks. Those are 'hits' from your kindly parking lot 'neighbors' who park too dayum close to your car, and/or their kids get out of the minivan and 'punch' those little dings in there. I know, because I have watched my kids do it in my own garage!!! I have nice little row of about 6 within 18" of each other. Driver's side, at the exact height and location of the rear doors on my bride's PT.

Paintless dent repair can take those right out.

I have one on each side of my car just above center on the wheel well like yours. I noticed them after a good 100 passes down the track doing ET drag races. My car doesn't have many mods, but the launch with the 3400 stall and mid 12's finally did it. This is with full boxed double diamond sub frame connectors..would hate to see it without any.. My car is silver and you really can't see them at all unless the light hits it a certain way. I don't have the multiple ones like you though. I have noticed though that my rear hatch is looking like the gap on the drivers side is a little more than it was though by maybe a 1/10th of a inch.

Mines got them too. I'm not worried though I do bodywork. When it comes the time they will be fixed along with a color change, I hate black.

that doesnt look like the wave dimple i have directly above the rear tire. You can only see it when the light hits it, can't even feel it. It kinda looks like an optical illusion to the eye but its there.

Huh.. I suppose this explains the small ding in the top of my pass rear 1/4... no chips, just a ding. about the size of a quarter.

Def not TQ related, someone has hit your car a few times. The ones made from TQ as stated before will be near the top of the quarter panels, around the spoiler. They look more like dents than dings.

Those, as everybody has said are not from torque. I've found it is had to capture the torque dimples on camera because they are so subtle. I have a dozen or so on my driver side, but you can only see them from a certain angle. I don't think anybody but me would even notice them, but it still frustrates me that they are there.

It's just from parking next to people. People are inconsiderate and don't care to be careful while opening their door.
