Default Torque ding in 1/4 panel?

I was at home for a little bit and i noticed my car had a small ding in the 1/4 panel. I wasn't entirely sure it was a ding because i couldnt feel it by touch, couldve just been lighting. But if it is there, it is very small. I think i mightve done it with torque because i did a couple of days of riding with the new came setup. Plenty of hard driving. I am positive this was not a door ding because i only took the car a few places and i am positive no one parked next to me. It wasn't there prior to the riding. I am also 100% positive it wasnt from something in my garage because i have it parked right up against the wall on that side. maybe 5 inches clearance and no one goes there.

So anyways, I would like to get it fixed if it in fact is a ding. I know a lot of people use paintless dent removal. Has anyone had a bad experience with pdr? I don't want them to make it worse or anything. Should be an easy fix as it is accessible from behind and its not creased or anything. The ding is the size of a dime if not smaller and its very shallow.

Btw, i also have some sfcs sitting around awaiting installation hopefully to prevent this from happening again. I will have em on before i do anymore hard driving.

I am just worried about taking it to pdr and them doing a crappy job.

Yeah, a wavy quarter panel along the top is "normal" on these cars. It's from the torque

I have had nothing but great experince with Paintless dent removal. Just make sure you let them know you dont want A hole drilled into your inner door jamb. They could go that route to make the job easier. Then they will put a rubber plug in the hole and paint it the color of the car. They can remove the dent without driling but it will take more time which could equal more $$.

Hate to break it to you but SFC wont stop it. I have a fairly light color car and theyre hard to notice, but I have a couple.

PDR fixed my torque dimples with no problem - no hole drilling either. After SFC install - they have not come back - and I have a lot more power to the wheels than I did from stock when the dimples first appeared...

Guy I use in Greensburg is the 'master' PDR technician - he trained all the surrounding area technicians.

He charged me $75 per panel - as many dents/dings in that panel (i.e. rear quarter) were repaired for the $75.

If he came across a dent/ding that he thought was repairable, but ended up he couldn't repair it to a point where you could not tell it was ever there - he didn't charge a penny.

Never got to take advantage of that policy though - every dent/ding I had he repaired so that even I could not tell they were ever there. No drilled holes in car & no damage to paint either

Dude, install those SFC's before it's too late. I'm pretty sure my car already has a little bit of a crooked frame. My driver door rubs against the fender at the top of the door, and it's a bitch to close too.

I can promise you that your chassis isnt crooked. The reason your door rubs is because the henges for the door are starting to sag...a common f-body problem because the doors are so long, and heavy.

Doors are so long and heavy, and hard to get out of when some one parks next to you.

All that weight on those couple of hinges means over time they will sag. That is why I never just leave my door open when cleaning or anything like that. It is only open when it has to be. My father fussed at me once when I left the door open. He had a 78' TA, he did the same thing... then he learned.

I hate these damn dimples i have about 4-6 of them on my driver side and i seem to be getting more ever year. And on my car they are really noticable. All i have done is exhuast, lid, relocation lca, some suspention upgrades and somtimes i put on the hypertech tune. The dinges look horralbe and i already have sfc and i used to do a lot of heavy driving not so much anymore.

The 1/4 panels are part of the frame of the car. Replacing them with fiberglass will weaken the car. Also, itd be very difficult to hang em.
