I think it looks best if the antenna is cut to the same height as the roof. I had mine cut that way and got a lot of compliments, and reception was the same as stock.

But mine is shaved off now

I just installed a TA power antenna on my car. I have a 97+ Camaro dash in my car so i just installed another Fog light switch and wired it up as a kill switch for the antenna. That way i can keep my antenna down when I want. I can even get most of the popular stations with my antenna down and if i want to get all the stations i just hit the switch and the antenna goes up.

I had to drill out the ball some because the mast is thicker towards the base. For masts cut at 12 inches use a 1/8 inch drill bit. Heating the ball up a little bit helped also.

I cut mine down to 15", glued the ball back on and painted it black. Looks great and still have the same reception!

I just got the Bit viper antenna. The thing works great and looks even better. Thanks BitViper. Wife bought it for an Xmass present.

Ahh so your the guy...congrats..she was so funny..she had no idea what it was..but only that you wanted it....she's a keeper....

I can give my wife a list of stores and products with their numbers...i still get a sweater!

Camaros don't have power antennas, ours are up all the time.
