Headlight conversion? what do you think?
hey i was looking at that headlight conversion kit that makes them non pop ups and i think it looks pretty bad but ive heard that theres problems with them and they dont shine as well and all kinds of things, so i also saw the HID conversion kit that just switches these stock halogen with a HID kit bulb (harnesses and all) so i need some opinions on what you all think should be done, FULL HEADLIGHT CONVERSION 1,100 Full Bulb Conversion 7-800

Like most others here, I am totally against the FLUSH (Breathless) mount type...You gotta keep the pop-up lights..thats like sigunature for our cars.
I have done enough research (before i started my custom Bi-xenon HID conversion project) to tell you that those aftermarket kits using HID bulbs in the reflector type housing is the WORST thing you can have.... i can sent you tons of pictures that shows horrible glare from those kits..its functional but never preferred by the oncoming traffic drivers...
IMHO:
1. You can buy replacement housing from Euro#$%# that uses H4 blue xenon bulbs and keep it simple (Cost about $80)
2. you can do your own custom LOW-BEAM HID Projector setup like "01RedT/A" has done (HE HAS DONE GREAT JOB):
https://ls1tech.com/forums/appearance-detailing/468948-real-hid-t-lights.html
3. You can go step further and use Bi-Xenon HID Projector (High-low beam in same projector) and do completely different setup something like i am currently working on...here:

We are working on this project to bring it in market as KIT. Keep watching that thread for more info..
If you need any information on HID, just drop me a line, I will try to explain/answer any of you queries.
Hope this helps and good luck

WEll..I have them on my car and the quality is a step below horse ****! HOWEVER...I do love them now as they make my car stand out and either people love them or hate them. I have removed the shitty cheap plastic covers , filled in holes, remolded them and added an HID kit.
Pretty happy with them now.

I agree with all the others on keeping the stock flip-ups, its not like I dont like the flush mounted lights I just prefer the flip-ups the best. IMO $1k for a few small parts is no where near worth it. But I do like them because they stand out from all the crowd. Nice car LOHRTBT.

LOHRTBT, real nice car.. I really dig those wheels.
I think the headlights are kinda neat.. different and a more updated look.
but... IMO.. I could find a better use for 1g. just my .02.
