Ok guys... heres my situation. I bought the car with 17x9.5 ZR1s. Two years ago i really wanted to shake up the look of my car so a purchased a new set of wheels. Since then ive changed the emblems and pin striping so the entire car is just black n silver. The new wheels still match but do they look too gaudy? Should i keep the Z06 wheels or purchase 11"ZR1's!? Keep in mind if i buy the 11"s and tires I want to at least break even with the sale of the Z06s.

Wow...I definetely liked those ZR1s better, but I'm not a huge fan of the black wheels either

 

I really dont like the Zo6 with polished lip and rivets, allmost looks ricer to me. I opted for the "Actual" Zo6 wheels, my first time around, now I have TT2's, lol.


If I were you, I would powder coat the ZR1's black, they are a more "simple" design, and dont look to over kill, or just buy 17x11' ZR1's, and leave them polished. Either way, I think your car looks bad *** with the ZR1's on it.


When I traded my Zo6 wheels, for the TT2's, I swapped them with a guy that had a totally black TA, being that my Zo6's came of an actual Zo6, they were silver. When we were all done, HIS car looked better with the Zo6's than mine did, and my car is silver.

How about getting 11" Zo6 rims? that would be the best combo.
11" ZR1's > 9.5" Zo6's
11" Zo6's > 11" ZR1's

Even though the ZR1's have been out since the 90's i swear the Zo6's are more played out. ZR1's are the way to go

I think your car would look the cleanest identical to now but without the rivets on the wheels. Black + polished lip on a black car always looks good, you just need to drop it. The rivets really take away from the clean look, I've never liked them except on Pro-stars, et cetera.
