Default stock grill with SS letters

i tried using the search all last night but i think it took a crap... ohh well

what i wanted to do was fill in the "camaro" on the front grill, paint it a gloss black and then put the same "SS" letters i have on the sides of the car centered on the grill

anyone done this before or have some pictures of something similar?

just looking for some input

thanks,
dakota

Why don't you buy an SS grille from SLP? Looks 10x better IMO.

Which "stock" grille are you refering too?

If its the black one with fins on each side, I wouldnt worry about it. I think that one would be a PITA to fill in and make work right.

If its the the piece thats body colored behind that grille, then yes it can be filled and painted.

Thats the SLP grille. It shouldnt be hard to find - Im sure at least 5 of our sponsers carry it, if not more.

It is expensive tho, but install aint **** on it (well, actually drilling the holes isnt. Pushing those bastard *** christmas tree fastners in is) so you can do that yourself in about an hour.

they charged me nothing because the guy lost my phone number and I didnt get it back until like 3 weeks later, I think they just sanded it smooth, cleaned it very well, color matched the maroon to my car and sprayed it.

the ss grilles are already painted, so just a matter of getting the paint off. they are smooth underneath the paint... idk about the v6 or z28 grilles tho arent they like a rough plastic?

the ss grilles already have a black layer of paint over them, under that they are smooth, so easy for painting
