Are camaro trunks and firebird trunks the same in size? I'm getting a box built for my hatch, and the guy building it is going to build it from the dimensions of his transam, only if it's the same as a camaro... Can anybody help..

as far as i know IDENTICAL

 

dimensions wise they might be BUT look at where the hatch comes on the rear panels The Camaro's Tails are outlined in the hatch, The T/A's are flat across the hatch all the way. It wouldn't work right... just my $.02

 

You are reight...but he is talking for a sub box so the hatch isn't going to matter any.

heres a tip, everything on a z can be swapped to t/a. everythings the same structure and dimension wise

 

will the hatch stil shut the same way though? i know like a stealth box is the saem cause the same model number is listed under camaro and firebird. The only concern i would have would be the top inch or two. But is that where youre having a box built? Have you ever noticed if you find a stealth box on ebay it always says camaro/firebird but if you look up a cutom sub enclosure like the ones that fill up the trunk space it says either camaro or firebird but never both? ive never checked into this but i will be installing one of these over the summer so i thought id bring it up....
