Default SS or Z28 hood...

Debating on whether I need to go with an SS hood, or stick with the stock flat one.

I think it looks pretty clean as-is, but wanted some opinions. I DO want to have the stripes painted/clearcoated eventually whether I use the SS hood or not. Cowl induction hoods are not an option as I am not a fan of them.

Some current pics:

i love the ss hood, but i voted no because i think if ur going to get an aftermarket hood for a z, u should get a sunoco or some other hood... leave the ss hood for the real ss'

The lines flow a lot better with the stripes on an SS hood IMO.

Well, I definitely will not be getting the sunoco and am not a huge fan of the other camaro hoods.

I like clean lines and subtle changes - that's why I think the stock flat vs. SS hood are going to be my two options.

Right now, I'm debating just leaving it alone...but someone close has an OEM SS hood that I could get for a decent deal. Oh, the TEMPTATION!!

if i had a camaro i would get the ss....imo its the best looking hood for one. i used to think harwood was the best looking camaro hood, and its really nice on the ls1s.....but idk man, the ss is just so sick. id go for that as long as u dont badge it or try to pass it as a real ss. bc that would be bs

I think I'll eventually go ahead with the SS hood. However, I think I'll do some more go-fast mods first.

Thanks for the compliments/replies!

your right it does definitley look very clean with the stock Z28 hood...BUT an SS hood would make the world of diffrence and would make it look so much better. The stocker is nice but it does look like its missing something (a hood scoop..hint hint). When i changed my Z28 hood to the SS hood it changed the whole appearance of my car making it look way meaner and just suited the car a lot better. i def. reccomined it and you wont be dissappointed, plus those striped will look 100x better flowing over a hood scoop!
