New round of mods (painted factory kidney grilles and rear lower insert)
I wasn't too fond of the stock "silver-ish" hue of the factory kidney grilles and rear bumper lower insert. I felt like it cheapened the look of the car. I went with a satin black finish on the grilles and rear bumper insert. The rear looks great I think. It really ties in well with the tailights and tint. The front grilles might be too black but I'm still undecided. The side markers and kidney grilles are a nice rich black but not a glossy cheap look, but the stock hood grilles and lower grill insert are more of a flat black look. They looked great before but now they may be a little too "flat black."
Either way I'm going to rock it for a while and if need be I'll pull them down the road and have them dulled down a bit. We were out riding around Sunday enjoying the beautiful day and I thought I better snap some pictures to show the new grilles and rear insert paint work. In the head-on shot you can see the detail in the Racemesh lower grille insert a little better than other pictures have shown and in the rear shot you can see my debadged trunk lid.

Then I decided to try a few shots with a little more artistic flair and they came out ok...

Thanks guys. Those are the kind of compliments I like the best. I know the styling of the GTO is very subjective but I love a good challenge and I really appreciate it when other people appreciate the thought and work I put into it.

Haha, I was thinking the same thing! The photographs themselves are top notch, as always.
