I'd like suggestions / pics of any under hood lighting setup
I am thinking of the best way to light up the engine compartment for shows. I don't want something ricey "20 pieces of neon" would any neon under there be reason for me to eat a bullet? I want it to stay "classy" please post some pics up here's what the motor looks like - uncleaned. Thanks!

I will take a pic of my setup it rather simple. I am using these battery operated LED lights. I use 2 of them positioned under the hood shining on the engine compartment. They come with a clip at the ends of them I attach them to the underside of my SS hood. They work perfect and they are small so you cannot see them.
Here is a pic of what it looks like. I picked up mine at Wal-mart for $6 each.

Shining lights "on top" of the engine, to me, looks bland. In this dealer brochure I have of 2002 Trans Ams, there is a picture of the LS1 engine. The lights are coming from underneath the engine and it simply looks mean as hell. It was in a dark setting, so just picture popping your hood at night with a regular "yellowish" bulb illuminating from underneath the engine. I think it would only work in a dark setting like at night though. Good luck!

I really like the last 2 suggestions! I'd love to see pics of your led setup, did you get them from autozone or someplace like that? Do I just run a + and - and tie as many leds as I need onto the lines with an inline fuse?
