I've done my wife's Equinox, my Accord and parts of the Camaro with Tropi-Care's product line and the results are excellent. I intend to do a full-blown write-up when I have the chance, but I've been very impressed with the results so far.

I have a stupid question: How should the pads be cleaned? Can they go in the washing machine?

Alternatively, you can wash them by hand. Gipraw had an excellent tip about this last week: Let the pads get completely dry, then use a small (quarter-sized) amount Murphy's Oil Soap and knead the pads under warm running water until clean. I did this last weekend and it worked very well.
Either way, allow the pads to air dry, then seal them in plastic bags until you use them again.
