**Need a Carbon Fiber how to** I got back the interior parts I had sent off to get CF wrapped MONTHS ago. The guy really dropped the ball on his time frame...new wife, kid, job, etc. (I heard 'em all). Anyways, I still have a lot of work left to do to the car. Several big pieces (dash, pillars, doors) and some exterior pieces (sail panels, berger, maybe black roof section) and numerous small pieces. I will be working with aluminized fiberglass (Texalium) and 2x2 twill CF. I want to teach myself the whole process....adhesion, laying, forming, epoxy, sanding, gloss, clearcoat, etc. I have a about a 50''x72'' section coming from Ebay, but I'd like to know the proper adhesion promotoer, epoxy resin, hardener, sanding equipment, clearcoat, etc to use. If anybody knows of an online DIY type site I'd love to see it. Again, this is CF wrapping/laying, not molding. Thanks in advance,

I'd also like to see a write-up or how too. Most people that work with carbon fiber never have the time or just make up excuses why they can't in my experiences. There used to be a guy on here that did it his name was titus289 or something like that. I believe he had a how-to.
Ya a hood is definately in my plans...but I was in the middle of the interior when the motor AND the tranny bit the dust. I have had no interior for way to long, so my comfort comes before other's eye candy. I'll PM chevychad but I'd still like some other's feedback. Thanks
Wow this is almost a year old. Do not do it. I paid a guy to do it. He ran off with half my money and a console of mine, the parts I do have look like ****. I am going back to stock ebony interior, much better IMO.

I used to do it, way too time consuming and nobody wants to cough up the money to have it done.

I used a vacuum system to adhere the fabric to the piece before putting down three coats of resin and then a final coat of top coat. I don't have a how-to but there is one on the board if you search. BTW make sure to wear a good mask and have a lot of ventilation.
