Default Plastic Revival

Anyone know of a product to use on plastic, to make it look new? Specifically the plastic cowling under the windshield wipers. Mine is all faded and I would like to make it look new. Armor All works for like a day, but there has to be something better.

Creamy peanut butter. Smear in on and let sit for 10-15 minutes, then rinse it with water. No joke!

Here is what I use on my customer's exterior trim, http://www.meguiars.com/?car-trim-mo...-Trim-Detailer

I went looking for pictures and I don't have any good ones for before or after but its what I use and it works pretty good.

IT DOES WORK! And it works better than any other product I've ever tried. I think the plastic absorbs some of the peanut oil. Faded or chalked plastic happens when the plastics oils are removed.

How does one come to learn that peanut butter will revive plastic? I'll probably try it on my car though.

I used to detail cars when I was in high school. Learned it from a much older guy that worked there. Never tried it on any interior plastics, but it may work. I've always used it on exterior stuff, like cowl panels, plastic door handles, door trim etc that turn chalky from the sun or wax residue. And unlike the expensive task specific dressings you can buy, this is a near permanent fix.

Mothers Back-to-Black.

Simply amazing results. And if I remember correctly, it slightly smells like bananas

For light scratches on your interior panels, just take a heat gun to it and wave it back and forth until the scratch disappears. Works every time, just be sure to not keep the heat stationary or it will ruin your panel.

In my opinion .. back to black is one of the absolute worst products on the market. I would not recommend this to any breathng human.

303 Aerospace, or Vinylex are your best bets. not exactly cheap, but in this instance, you get what you pay for.
