From what I gather side exit exhaust won't look very good unless you have tips like this tucked right up against the car. I'm with whoever said no tips look good.

Found these on eBay BTW.

Here are a few ways:

Other than those boom tubes, the only practical way I could see having a side exit in front of the rear tire is if you don't have SFC's and you use that channel to route the piping and then have a thin tip. I suppose you could di it Mustang style also, lower the side skirt and use a tip with a flattened section like in this post.

If this were easy, everyone would be doing it.

Well, if the bullets are too big to be moved forward then you may only be able to add some side exits after the rear wheels by going under the axle. Now if you could find a U shaped bullet muffler you might be in business. It just depends on what's more important to you.

Frankly, I have no problems cutting my car up to do a mod I like. Not everyone feels the same.

Wow, that's pretty impressive, although I don't see any muffler.

That looks ungodly loud

I guess I could paint that pipe black, but you don't notice it unless you're crouched down on your knees looking under the car.

Here's a thought on tips. If you want functional side exhaust without attracting too much attention you can make a thin, flat tip like the boomtubes, but add a angle cut and tuck them in a little more so that you can't see them unless you bend down and look. Then have some factory tips in back just to fill the stock locations. I may do that.

The only good setup I've seen in this whole thread is the link to the TA. The third gens especially looks like some sort of cob job. That guy wouldn't even be able to make it down my road with that kind of setup.

I really don't know how far back the 12" bullets go. You'd have to look and see how much room you have.
