Default Fuel Rail Covers

i have some of the vette frc's that i wanna put on my 00 SS and was wondering if anybody has any patterns of the cutting that you have to do to make them work. i dont wanna do the trial and error thing on them because they cost too much to possibly mess em up

I thought I had seen someone post up some templates of where to cut and how much before. I'm looking for them as well as the carbon fiber ones I bought fit like crap and don't have any mounting points on them.

No. They simply have the two slots as a better base to work from.

uuuhhhh no. The only difference in the 97-98 frc's compared to the 99+ is that the 97-98's already have a cutout for the 2nd fuel (evap) line. You still need to modify the backs of them to fit tho...

its not that hard to make your own hole for the avap line, but would be alot eaier to get the ones that already have it. do a search on here for FRCs, theres pics out there of how they need to be cut.

Corvette FRC's only belong on a Corvette in my opinion. Unless you change them to say "Camaro" or something similar.

Thanks Chae!

Nascarnut, I posted some pics on my other thread of the covers before they were installed on the car & the only modifications I had to make was for the oil dipstick & throttle cables on the passenger side cover. Now, I did have to remove the A.I.R system to get them to fit like that, but they snap down perfectly & I didn't have any guess work in cutting them. Of course if you do remove that system, you'll have to find someone with a GM Tech II scanner to turn off that progam check on your car or your SES light will come on. That's could be tricky unless you know someone in the field.

In my opinion...its just as easy to relocate the EVAP solenoid, and avoid having the two holes in the cover to begin with. I bought the one with two holes for my car, then realized that looked bad, so I got the one hole cover and relocated the solenoid. That was easy... couple pieces of hose and some wire. Cleans things up nicely.
