Third gen guestion please help!
Ok, how can I find out what color or code the interior of my 1988 IROC-Z has? The headliner trim panel in mine is old and broken as most are and people only sell them in black. If I have to paint it, I want to make sure I paint it the right color. I went to Year One and they list all the interior spray paint colors for those panels and they show demos and none of them seem to match my interior. Is there any way to get all the codes for my car including interior and exterior paint codes(engine codes, etc). I used to work at the Chevy delearship and I tried to get them there but the car is too old. I've already been checking and reading on thirdgen.org but I seem to get more assists on here. I know of three sites that sale the panel but they all sale them in black. I've considered just making all the panels black since the car is black and that would look nice but there is a problem there as well; my interior panels are carpeted. Most of the carpeted pieces are in good shape and don't need changing but if need be I found a site that sales all new carpet pieces for the panels. Any suggestions would be nice. Except for the steering wheel and gauges I want the interior to look stock and original. I'm also having a hardtime finding new seat covers cause the old ones are torn. It has gray combination leather/cloth seats that are electric so I definately want them to stay the same but I can't find those either. Any way, here is a pic of the interior. Thanks.

If you have the sheet with all of the rpo codes on it it'll be easy. I think they were normally located in the center console or in the back locking compartment on the drivers side. Somewhere on the front page of thirdgen.org has a decoder you can download. Just plug in all of your codes and it should give you the colors.

The center console is being store at a friends garage right now with other parts for protection but I do have the original sales sheet that was on the window from the dealership. Would it be on there?

Well, I took the time and broke down all the codes on the list from the middle console using the code reader from thirdgen.org and there are only two faults. Code E7Z, third row over third one down, the code reader said "CODE NOT FOUND". Confused. I know I'm reading it right. And code 1AY, forth row over last one down, the code was "???" What the hell is that?!? Anyway it can't all be that important, I got all the info I needed. You guys helped out a whole lot. Thanks.

E7Z is a vehicle speed sensor delete, which means they deleted all of the mechanical speedometer crap for electrical stuff. 1AY means that it was ordered by the dealership for their stock, as opposed to customer ordered car.
