the bracket on the camaro above was a good one...but i always wanteed to bend the plate at the top to a 90* bend right below the bolt holes....and bolt it under the bottom side of the bumper with the holes in the plate, then it would stick straight down below the bumper and still be near the front of the car...further foroward then the air dam!

just an idea. bullit camera use a suction mount cup that can hold up to auto cross cars being tossed around n ****. so maybe if you rigged up something like the bullits use that stick to the fenders n stuff you could adapt it to fit on the front bumper.

Sucks your getting the shaft. I told you about when I got pulled over because of it. It's been off for nearly 2 years and it wasn't until recently they got me. I guess they are getting strict now because I pass cops all the time.
I just told the lady cop that I'm having trouble finding a bracket because they are discontinued. I was let off the hook, but now I feel like they are out to get me.
Ironically, I'm starting to miss Fairfax...

I had my front plate mounted on my air dam as well for 2 yrs and no one gave me any prob until recently when a state cop pulled me over. He said that he couldn't see it eventhough I had it mounted. Still gave me a ticket-$76 total. I now have it mounted with a bracket similar to the SLP one. I hate it though, messes up the lines of the car.

I've had my plate off for the past 2 years and never had a problem with it until the past two weeks. I got pulled over twice in Post, Texas on my way to Ft. Worth from Tech by an oncoming cop. Pulled through the median, pulled me over, and made me sign a warning.

Got one today in just outside of Lubbock. A State Trooper came flying behind me and passed me, slammed on his brakes, and pulled me over. Did a visual search, made me get out of the car and stand by his cruiser, and gave me a nasty speech about "if he ever sees me again...." The guy was a real *****.

So far only the state troopers have pulled me over for it. I guess I'll be putting in on the windshield when I drive long distance.

I have mine mounted on the nose of my TA behind the bird cover. But I keep the bird cover on always, but not screwed in, so I can pull it off by hand haha.

The only way it looks decent is smack dab in the middle of the grill... Dangling from the front bumper or zip tied to the lower valance look like crap

Update: I bent the plate to the shape of my grill and double sided taped it. It actually doesn't look that bad. It works and I will take it off every once in a while to clean up the tape residue and reapply, not to mention a lot less hassle from the cops. Done deal.
