So.... you knew the law, you intentionally broke the law, and the cop who ticketed you is the *******?

that kind of thinking certainly eliminates the burden of having a retirement plan.
good luck with that.

Yeah, put some of the door trim stuff so it doesn't scratch the windshield and the dash and put suction cups to keep it in places

i live in new york, were u absolutly must have a front playe, but i have even less roon up front than the ls1 guys. my front plate is accually on my jeep in my drive way so i dont get a ticket for an unregistered vehicle. ive been pulled over many times, but im usually doing something else wrong and my front plate is the least of theyre worries.

Va sucks like I keep telling you and everyone else. I totally detest this communist state. Anyway I've been pulled over 3 times for only no front plate...once in PWC and twice in FFX in 6 yrs. Alot of fbody people put them on the air dam and are fine with that. There is also a retractable plate thing you can buy too which I have thought of but I refuse to put on a plate but it does look like a neat device. Have you seen it??

Here's a video of one

I also know of some friends that have gotten pulled over and gave the excuse that they just left a body shop for front end work and they shop didnt put the plate on and that has worked for them.

Yeah well, I live in California were the plate has to be on the front bumper I believe. However, I bought the car new on 9-9-1999 and it has never had the front plate on it and have never been stopped! Then again I am older and can get away with that ****!!hahaha

i just went the air dam route... but I bolted it, heard people had problems with zipties being loose or wearing with the motion of the plate... so just got a few locking nuts and some short bolts and problem solved, its not going anywhere any time soon...

been pulled over a few times with it this way, and only once have I actually gotten a ticket for it, but I got the ticket because I hadn't installed the plates though I had them in my back seat. quick install of the plate, took a photo, then took off the entire stock grille with the mount still attached and tossed it in the nearest dumpster as I left the courthouse

and that first REX kit or whatever linked on page 2... two hundred ******* dollars? are you kidding me? it's just a goddamn few wires, and a power antenna switch with a shortened shaft, and a piece of flimsyass hinged metal.

I too just got pulled over yesterday.. I am an older guy,, (over40) clean cut.. VERY LOUD F-bod.. (3in true duals through a custom 3in CME) and a choppin cam...

Officer walked up, Told him i had a pistol between the seat/door.. and that i had a CHL..

He kindly said, "Are you a Police officer"?i said NO, "where do you work"? I told him, he said nice car... Get a tag on the front and let me go..

Guess i was lucky,,, I too need to mount a LP on the front, but have spent alot of $$$ to fill in, repaint my front fascia... I hate to muck it up with a LP...

Oh well, we'll se what happens..

That's what I was thinking. I don't get it. Kind of like those guys who know the speed limit, break the law anyway, then whine and complain when they get a ticket

Yeah front plate messes up the look of the car but that's just how it is. Don't like it, move to SC, they don't have front plates.

Oh man, I totally forgot about just moving to a different state. I should have thought of that instead of mounting my plate. What a waste of time!
