Do they weight any less than the stock leather Z28 seats? Thanks for the help.

Yeah I was wondering that myself.

Obviously power features add weight but if you already had power perhaps you could save a few pounds? I am curious to know.

Good job btw. Everyone needs a MIG and a grinder.

i'm not gonna lie, they are heavier, but well worth it for creature comfort. they're still not real heavy though. probably 5 lbs. to 8 lbs. more per seat. i love em.

the seats look really good .. could you take a few pics of the rear mounts and the way you fabbed them?

do the seats have more travel than the stock fbody seats?

where is your rear mounting point for the five point? It looks like it is down low .. if so, that would concern me .. it needs to be at or above your shoulders, so it doesn't cause spinal compression in the event of an accident.

i'll get some in-depth pics and do an install write up and wiring diagram for yall tomorrow. i'm going to install a six point cage soon to remedy the seatbelt situation, but honestly, i leave the shoulder straps real loose most of the time for comfort, so i'm more likely to break my face. f#*k it, right?

Do you sit lower in these seats? Im asking because you mentioned that the belt goes across your neck.

Random but I wonder if 6LE's seatbelt guides could take care of the seat belt across the neck thing.

They would because you could stitch them on countless heights since it has the entire flat side...

I forgot about this thread, and doing the write up, so I'll get pics on here tomorrow. 6LE's seat belt straps would work for positioning the shoulder strap in a more comfortable spot if you choose to use the stock seat belts.

It would look better if they color matched the interior. I say color match and reupholstered one or the other and it would really rock.
