HP badging over "Ram Air"...
#4
I was posting about the appearance of them, not my numbers.
Anyway....
I'm talking crank numbers here. LS1's are rated 345 at the crank stock. I have full bolt-ons and tune. Why put a stock HP rating on a full bolt-on car?
I have OVER 400 crank.

Check this...
SLP PerformancePac™, 2001-02 F-Car ''Loud Mouth™'' Exhaust w/ Dual/Dual Tips 400HP
http://www.lmperformance.com/5647/1.html
Here's a shitty SLP bundle that comes with 400HP badges.
I guess if they had a sticker that said "344 RWHP", I would get it, but they don't.
So I want my numbers a bit higher, it's not like I'm stating something completely false by putting them on.

Unless you really had? That doesn't make sense, either you have it or you don't.
HP is measured at two different locations, so you're saying you should rep the lower number?

Sorry buddy, the majority of the public are not car people and even the manufacturers go by bhp when they're badging a car. Thats the industry standard on how to do it. Now if I see a car that says 400HP on a badge I'm going to immediately think 400hp at the flywheel, but if you've got 400rwhp and have a 400HP badge then you'll probably surprise some people because 99% of the people you run across are going to assume its a flywheel rating. If you want to flash some hp numbers and still have people underestimate you thats the way to do it. Nothing wrong with the way the OP is wanting to do it either.
All that aside, personally I dont like it. "Ram Air" is nice, clean, simple and just looks right. Numbers and letters thrown on there advertising horsepower doesn't look right to me.

Well... I understand the arguement. But the guy did ask for opinions.
Now that being said.. I like the idea. I am putting "408" on my sunoco hood for the size of the motor I have.
To each their own I guess.
Opinions are like a$$holes. Everyones got them. We all have different tastes. Thats what I LOVE about modifying cars. Some people cream over it.. some want to puke.
Do what you think looks best and dont turn back.
If I had a nickel for every piece of my car I put on and then took off cause I was either tired of it or it didnt look good... ****, I would probably have about .10 cents now! lol j/p

Back on topic. Put whatever you want on there. If you think you will like it, do it.
