Hey guys,
Just had that idea of doing the exhaust going duals exit right in front of the rear wheels, but I dunno how it'd look just the tips out, so I decided to put my artist talent at work and, with the help of paint, did a job to try to fit a body kit that would keep the look of the car sleek and still fit with the exhaust setup. No more words here it is, but, don't laugh at my talent. Tell me what you think!

Well, for the front lip, I'd prolly take the one from wingswest for the Firebird model. My main concern is for the side skirt, I think the rockers will be ok since the T/A gfx goes over it; it'd be the same idea. I was thinking to make a try with some coated sheetmetal just to see if it will follow the curve that starts under the door hatch and front fender. If it does i might try it that way, have it bend 4 times, i'll try to join a pic of what i'm saying.

i was thinking about side exit, i think the only way to do it would be to use boom tubes and go out the sides right before the rear wheels and cut a section out of the groud effect to let it sit flush, i think that would look pretty sweet, want to rest your talents with that one?

Where would you put the mufflers? I dont think its even possible to do and keep it street legal. I might be wrong though, but just make sure you research and make sure its even possible to do before you start buying parts. Maby someone could add to what im saying and verify that it is/isnt possible to do.

The number one problem with side exit exhaust is ground clearance. You can tuck it in good just like true duals until it has to turn out towards the wheel. Thats were your going to loose your ground clearance. Although your photoshop looks pretty good in reality you exhuast and ground effects will be like and inch or two off the ground. I suggest doing some searching on side exit exhuast there are many threads about it. I've seen one in person and it looked like total junk cause it hung down and you could see all the pipe. Like many others I would love to have it but its just a hard thing to pull off and still be look good and not hit every bumb around town.
