Default Projector light Reject Mod:: How To!!

Well the only thing that i didn't like about the new projector lights were those little led's on the side of the housing that killed the flow to the whole thing, so what i did was got them to turn off now. anyways it's super simple and you dont even have to open the headlights!!

You will first need to find a tiny sharp metel, i used the end of a spring i had laying around

Second you need to find which wires you are needing to reject.

The two wires that light up the LED's on the side of the headlight are these two

Right here is where you could clip off those two wires and be done with it making sure to just tape up the ends so that they dont short out.....or you could continue to take out the wires from the harness to be able to use them later down the road not needing to hake the wires up

If you wanted to try and keep the wires from having to cut them then continue on

you will need to disconnect the harness from one another, to do so you need to push down on the little tab that i'm pointing to with the tooth pick

note which two holes of the harness the wires i'm taking off, the two CLOSEST to the tab
what you will need to do is use your metel pick to push down on the little tab's holding the wire in place (the tab is located where you see it indexed in the center bottom of each hole)
push the tab in and pull the wire out.

These are the tab's i'm talking about

once they are both out tape them seperatly (as to not short out with one another) then tape then together around the main harness (to not get in the way when you install the headlight

plug it all back up.....

throw the headlights on the car..... wire them up how ever you wire them up....

.....

...

BAM!!

Rejected LED's mod

simple enough huh!!
i just wanted to do a write up and have a mod actually named after me! what better mod to use than rejecting the side led's!!

anyways hope you enjoy

So basically this "write up" tells you how to not use a couple wires?

How about wire them into the turn signals?
I think that would look cool and should be almost as easy.

Any particular reason why you dont use your turn signals? I never thought about that and that'd be pretty cool

looks very nice. I will also say the turn signal mod would look real nice and def. be different. You don't use turn signals? lol.

slight problem guys i'm going to have to swap the headlights out to the stockers for a week and send these back, my cut off pattern on the passenger side was total crap, the shield inside the headlight was not curved right and instead of wanting to fix it myself i'm going to send them back to get a new set, so the blinker integration mod will have to hold off on my end for now. but for other's out there than cant wait and are average with wiring, it's very simple...

one thing i forgot to add to the picture below is to not cut the ground wire (black) on the picture it is tooken off but you must leave it connected or else your LED's wont work!!!

Nice write up. I was going to do the same thing but I was to lazy to do it. I just wanted my projectors in. I will have to think about doing this now so I don't have the LED's on with the halo's.
