Default water spots!! help!!!

i am fully convinced now that my area has the hardest f*cking water on the planet....the water spots are still on my car after two washings and a coat of wax!! is there anything else i can do?? is there any super cure for water spots? some guy at a car show up here said his shop can buff them out...for $500, so if there's something i can do on my own i would greatly appreciate any advice, im on the verge of tears here!

Similar problem here as well... I have a silver car so I'm not so much worried about the painted surfaces as I am the friggin' windows! Holy crap its ridiculous! I know the best way is to be sure water doesn't dry on the car so they don't form in the first place (read: wash the car in the dark or in you garage... not too convenient). I am at a loss as well, help!

Default spots...

go to walmart and get a rubbing compound... 3m... cant remember brand name but its in a black bottle about 9 inches tall and 3 inches round... has red writing.... buff it out with your hand.... dont have to use a buffer... then go back over it with a wirl and haze remover.... then liquid wax... or whatever you prefer... if you take you time and your paint isnt totally ruined... your paint will look like it had 50,000 less miles... gotta use a little elbow grease.... but its 20$ compared to 500$ and i guarantee you can do just as good job!

Wow, you must have the hardest water on earth! I've always been able to get rid of them with another washing at the most. Usually can just take a wet or damp cloth and wipe them off. Try a PC with a soft pad.

White vinegar tends to work well on hard water stains.

Just put a small amount on a soft cloth and wipe off the spots.

A coat of wax will do exactly what you said....coat it...It won't clean it up

As mentioned above, try white vinegar

yep i've used vinegar for serious waterspots on my windshield i had that would NOT come out no matter how much i washed it. Came off with absolutely no effort. It is also safe for the paint, just do not pour it on there, simply dab a paper towel or cloth in some and gently wipe the area. I would clean the area afterwards...but vinegar takes off all sorts of dirt and things that get stuck on the paint (it is used to prep paint for vinyls and decals).
