I have the same problem. I believe you have to replace the whole piece.

Probably can get one at a bone yard, don't know where else to find one. BTW mine is broken too but I just leave it closed and not let it bother me, too many other things that need done 1st.

LOL, join the club. I bought mine and it was also broken. The only time it ticks me off is cruising on the highway, it rattles. I end up just leaving it open then so it doesn't make noise.

Yeah, I'll be there. I won't be driving my Formula though. I haven't gotten much done since the last update of my thread. I should be ordering a small fortune in parts on Tuesday though.

I saw you said you might try and make it up. Do it! We always have a lot of fun and this time there'll be a lot of hot chicks too. How can you lose?

Bought mine broken also. The little tab that holds the spring in on the bottom of the center console is broken. That's how they usually break. So you can't just replace the cover

Default Broken cover!

Wow, I thought I was the only one with this problem. Shortly after I bought my 2000 SS, the second cup holder broke. It no longer stays supported, with a drink it swings while driving. This bothers me when I have someone with me with a drink in it! And also, my left front speaker is cracked and rattles with every song! Oh well, I guess my car is getting old.

Thanks for the advice man. The cup holder I can live with. I will look to replacing my speakers soon.

I just bought an ashtray for my '98 Trans Am last month. While putting it on though, the tab it goes into cracked. Very flimsy design.

That cover is sold separately, I bought one from the dealer for my trans am, it was about 11-15 dollars, might seem too much for that little piece, but it takes away the hassle of looking it up through ebay, for sale section, or junk yard.

Happen to know the part number? I'd like to get rid of this rattle when I get my car back together.
