Default Worst way to start the day!!!

Currently on an internship at Port Newark and on the way into the port this morning a god gamn truck backed into me. First he hit some other guy in the back, then proceded to back up and hit me; even though my horn was smashed down for about 10 seconds. I had no where to go and just sat there and watched. He hit my front bumper, both headlights, and hood Only good way to look at this is that my front bumper looked like **** from highway rocks, headlights had some rock chips too, and i would love to get an aftermarket hood put on the car. Now I will have his money to do that with. How much you think this guys insurance will give for this? Im thinkin the front bumper needs to be repainted (not cracked anywhere), but the hood and lights are bent up so they will have to be replaced. ABout 2 inches of the front of the hood is bent up about 90 degrees (hopefully good enough to have to be replaced lol)

The thing that pisses me off the most is that I am never even moving when **** like this happens to me. Last month some ******* was double parked and I was stopped at a light. Cop pulls up behind him and tells him to move and he just turns right into me and dents above my back passenger side wheel. His insurance gave me a grand to fix that. I guess everything will get done at once now.

I would have gone ape **** on that guy. I don't know what I would have done if I was just sitting there helpless.

Good thing is that it will be better than before. Good luck

I'll say that hood needs to be replaced. It's too much time and work to repair something like that and it may not look right when it's done. upgrade that sucker. I wish someone would **** my car up! I need new paint, BAD! I'd be pissed at first but as soon as I got his insurance policy # and info I'd calm down. If he didn't have insurance I'd just commence to kicking his ******' ***!

Yea im hopin it could be replaced. Could get an aftermarket hood for maybe $200 out of my pocket then. Anyone else have ne thoughts about the hood, or how much a body shop would pay for a new stock hood?

Get a few estimates...
tell them you're making someone PAY!
then send the most expensive one to the ins. co.

sounds like a plan. the prior accident above, the guys insurance sent someone to come see the car and make an estimate. Then they sent us a check based on his estimate, not the shops. Sounds strange but they gave me a grand for a little dent

yea. I had the front bumper repainted a while ago when some other jackass hit me and scratched it. Cost about $350 i think. Not toooooo bad. Anythings fine with me as long as it aint my money. A big thing with chamellion colors is that hopefully they are mixed the same and sprayed the same so they match.

When you go to the shop for the estimates, tell them the hood you want to put on. If you go to the "goood guy shop" they usually will just include the cost for you to give to the insurance company My friend did this with his 2000 GMC Sierra and had the Denali front clip put on at the insurance company's expense with HIS choice of paint.

My bro's hood on his car was bent like that only the opposite way and they replaced the hood. Too much work to try and fix it really.

That sucks though. I think that guy needs to take driving lessons!! At least it seems you are getting some work done you needed/wanted to do without paying for it but still isn't fun.

Hmm... maybe someone will hit me in my car on the driver fender/bumper - it needs replaced but I can't afford to fix it right now...
j/k!

sorry it happened dude . You should get a good deal of money on it since you need two headlight covers (maybe even the assembly), front def. needs to be painted, new hood,

yea, i tested the headlights. Both work when the hood is up but one gets stuck about halfway when the hood is down. Motors still work. Gotta take a closer look at them when i get home to day to see how the rest of the assemblies look. And yea, it is nice that I should be able to get some work that i wanted done for but, but it is still a huge pain in the *** lol
