Squeaking noise from the back of the car.. WHAT IS IT?

my friends t/a does this it sounds like its comeing from his wheel tho, so maybe check the brakes, thats what i told him but hes yet to look

My car does this as well, goes from a quiet noise to a loud more constant rubbing/squeaking/grinding noise....doesn't always do it either. More so when getting onto it a bit or taken a turn....even some bumps or just cruising can cause it. It comes from the rear passenger side of the car and I have no idea what it is. I checked the spare, lights, jack and there all in there fine I even took the spare and jack out and its still there! It is REALLY REALLY annoying......
