Did you cut out the bracing under the fender, that 3 sided section? It's a structural peice so that's slowing me down. Have you drove the car since you did the front tubs? If not, the front may feel loose or flex some. I want to make that section extra strong. Maybe using a real heavy gauge steel sheet for the tubs would add some strength. Real interesting.
I also know a guy who can shorten the stock steering knuckles (spindles) so that the upper A-arm tips don't hit the upper sheetmetal and can raise the balljoints on the lower A-arm to in essence make a drop spindle, but I guess your idea works as well. Did you run into any ball joint angle issues?
Did you know there are some drop spindles for our cars on the market? 2" and run about $500, but they are for drag racing only.
