i layed them next to the stockers and measured them out and tried to get them as close as i could did the same with the uppers but my steering is a little but i have coil overs on the front that i havent set completely up yet (i need to do that but ive been busy trying to get the engine running)

how did you do yours??
It did not go as easy as I thought it would. You will find you have to adjust the knuckles just to get the a-arms up in there and line the bolt holes up. Then just snug em up and drop the car. At this time you will see just how bad they are out. Jack the car up and loosen the bolts and push on the wheel to get the arms better adjusted. Tighten up, drop the car, and drive it forward just a little to get the tires straight again. Ckeck the vertical with a level on the tire. You want the tires to be straight up and down, or at least close. This is what I concentrated on, since I could no rotate the steering knuckles to allign the front. I will leave this up to the allignment shop. Thats about the best I could do.

Sand blasting doesnt remove under coating too well you basically have to heat it with a torch and scrape it off then you can sandblast if needed.

Well i removed my rims and have the car on four jack stands and there is no way i can remove the undercoating. i sprayed it on pretty heavy and every where. its just the stuff out of a spray can you buy from anywhere. it would take me forever to remove it all. looks like i have mine spray painted black i did a nice job when i sprayed it on. i wonder if one of those little hand held torch things would remove it? that could be a cheap way ?

Yes thats what you use a propane torch and just sweep across the surface scraping the undercoating off while you heat it. Just dont stay in one area too long with the torch.

Two of them. The one I ordered with the car(SLP), and a billet one with an SS emblem.

Well, Red is basically ready for the judges minus several small details that I will do at the Winternationals in Orlando next week. We will load it Sunday and be on the road Tues. morning for warmer weather.

Here is a few shots with the grille on, the car, and the wheels done with the lug nut and center caps on.

Got the interior done as well. It wasn't to bad since I already took everything out of the car this summer to clean up all the grass and gravel that ended up in there after Road Atlanta.

And last, here is the next project for the buffer. After the show, my polishing will turn to our Sea Ray to get that blue gel coat to shine like the Camaro's paint. Summer will be here before we know it

Will post up pics when we get to the show. The Winternational's is expected to be bigger than ever with tons of great Camaros!!!

I think I use a can of filler primer and 6 cans of the small red cans. Lots of sanding, wet sanding, and lots of masking off stuff from overspray. If I had a lift, I would used a sprayer so I can add hardener to the clear, but a sprayer is tough to work when the car is on stands.

problem is i would pay $30.00 bucks a can for the GM paint code paint i have bought before. found a place on line thats awesome has every GM color.its a perfect match and has some type of clear in it. i thought about maybe just doing the floor boards area. i'm going to try airplane stripper i have laying around as it has removed anything i sprayed it on. yeah i don't know how i will ever have time to do it. i want to just find plan color match paint no clear or anything special. i use the stripper to remove stuff off my gas tank and it looks brand new . i would just tape everything off, which itsn't much since everything is removed moreless. i would just spray the rear end black and the sway bars and stuff.

Well it's loaded and ready to be pulled to Orlando Tues. by the big and mighty Cummins. Feels good to know all the work has come to an end and now its time to show it off. If any of you are close to Kissimmee this next weekend, you should stop by Old Town and check out the record number of registered cars for the Winternationals. Check out www.ecklerscamaro.com for more info. Or better yet, put your Camaro in the show.

Thanks for all the tips and props throughout the thread. Ol Red has come a long way since it was in the gravel at Raad Atlanta. I will post up pics once we get down there and the hot rods make there way in Old Town. Now let see if I can score a 99x out of 1000 points.
