Default Got HIDs Installed on the Formula!

Finished installing these last week and finally have some time to post up about my experience. I decided to go with 8000K HIDs and am very happy with them. Install was pretty straight foward aand took maybe 30 mins.

Looks good.

They're cool but if you have the same situation as I do with my 95 Z28, then the lighting still isn't there. The road signs and periphery are illuminated quite well but down the road I am just not getting the light I want with those rectangular housings. I'm interested in your evaluation as I'm wondering if the problem is with my kit.

You should've went to lower set up like 4700K or 6000K. That set up won't help you at all at night when it rains.

Looks good. A little to blue for me. But a nice upgrade. Looks like you need to move the passenger light up just a little.

I still need to adjust them a little to get them perfect. You should have seen them before I adjusted them. If you guys want to know where I got them send me a PM since they are a non-sponser.

I feel sorry for other drivers now that you are blinding. I wish there was a legit HID kit that was worth a damn for our cars...

HOLY BLUE BATMAN! Blue is actually a very difficult color for the eye to focus on at night. It causes the eye to close and let in less light than a whiter light would.

So you used stock headlight housings, removed stock bulbs and retrofitted new hid system?

That might be true, but natural sunlight is 5778K and is typically regarded as producing the most lumens or amount of light. As you go higher, your light output is dramatically reduced.

So the question is why upgrade your lights if you then diminish the output by putting in blue lights??? Might as well just put a blue filter over your stock headlight.

the best range for retrofitting is 3800k (most mazdas) to 5000K. But to each their own.

In my case, the kit only came with the 8500k frequency. I really wanted the yellow lights at about 5000k but those bulbs are as much as the entire kit.
